- Select 15 other blogs you want to give the award to. Do some digging if you must! Find those blogs. You cannot nominate yourself or the person who has nominated you. (like always, I’m about to ignore this rule)
- Write a post to show off your award! Give a brief story of how your blog got started, and give a piece or two of advice to new bloggers. Thank whoever nominated you, and provide a link to their blog. List who you’ve nominated in the post.
- Comment on each blog and let them know you’ve nominated them. Provide a link to the award post you created.
- Provide a link to the original post on Edge of Night. That way, anyone can find the original guidelines and post if needed, and we can keep it from mutating and becoming confusing!
For the Lover of Books is my second book blog (I’m embarrassed of my first blog, bookteardown). I started both blogs for two reasons: 1. to practice writing (in the hope that one day I will write a book), 2. to share my unique opinions on books with the world. The first reason is the most important to me. I don’t just want to write books because I love them, I want to write books for the kid out there who is struggling like I was. I want to show that kid that anything is possible, that things get better, and to give them an escape from their tough times.
I’m not sure you want to take blogging advice from the girl living in Ontario, Canada who has 29 wonderful followers, but I do have one piece of advice: blog because you love blogging and because you have a story to tell. As soon as blogging becomes a chore instead of something you wish you had more time for, you’re not in love with it anymore.
Tagging people gives me anxiety, to the point where I think that I must have some form of social anxiety. I love doing tags, but tagging people is something else altogether for me. For this reason, I nominate anyone who wants this award. If you do chose to accept this award please leave a link in the comments below so that I can read you story.
